PORTS OF ARGENTINA
Buenos Aires is by far the biggest Port of Argentina.
Operates both containerized and bulk cargo.
With an infrastructure of 7 main terminals, 5 dedicated exclusively to containerized cargo, one to Liquids and Fuels and the last one to Bulk Cargo and Grains.
The port of Buenos Aires can be reached through an access channel of 111 Kms, starting at the anchorage point of Recalada Pilot Station, which is the common point for all vessels to wait pilots before the entrance to Buenos Aires Port, Montevideo, or the big grain ports over the Parana River.
It is important to point out that Argentina is one of the biggest Grain exporters in the world, and consequently 70% of the country exports are routed through ports located on the main waterways like Parana River, or in the south of the country like Bahia Blanca Port.
In the case of containerized cargo, the offer of ports is continuing growing.
Some years ago, Buenos Aires was the heart of the container world in Argentina, but now there are connections with feeder services to Rosario, Santa Fe, Zarate, Lima, as well as the Patagonian ports like Bahia Blanca, San Antonio Oeste, Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Deseado, and Ushuahia.
In the case of grains and bulk, Ocean Bulk Carriers can directly call on waterways ports as well as in Bahia Blanca, to load their shipments.
We offer a wide spectrum of coverage over all these ports, so please do not hesitate to contact us for a quotation.
